Enjoy anything but the peace and quiet in the
disco decadence of Carrington House.
Set in the picturesque Norfolk village of Snettisham, Carrington House was just your common or garden listed Georgian property. That is until designer Shaun Clarkson got a hold of it and transformed the house into a pleasure palace that even Kublah Khan would be proud to call home.
Carrington House is the second party property to blossom from the minds of design virtuosos russell Hall and Shaun Clarkson. The first being the ranch inspired Cliff barns which iN featured all the way back in october 2010, but where Cliff barns had a family friendly feel Carrington House has a decidedly more adult vibe. from the disco balls suspended above the house’s eight person hot tub to the dressing up room located in the top floor, the whole building is a pleasure seeker paradise.
With six bedrooms inside the main house and three in the adjoining cottage Carrington house sleeps up to 20 guests. Each of the bedrooms comes complete with its own theme, from the heart racing opulence of the Chinoiserie room to the brain thumping funkiness of the Green room, each is so wonderfully over the top it seems almost a waste to use them for sleep. Though, with its sound proofed top floor complete with dj booth and luxurious dining room, one gets the feeling that is rather the point.
Exploring Carrington House is like venturing into brilliantly wallpapered fairyland where each doorway opens into a new world, each more lavish than the last. There are many adjectives you could apply to this most extraordinary of houses; sumptuous, extravagant and hedonistic being just a few. but the one that sums it up best, put very simply, has to be - fun.
