Bang and the bad sound quality is gone. B and o’s pricey but pretty new cartoon bone style speaker system will dock most of Apple’s current iThings and has additional connectivity courtesy of its mini usb socket. The sound quality is best when played loud, so if you host a lot of parties, have easy going neighbours and a spare pile of fifties squirreled away somewhere, this might well be the music system for you.

4. Apple TV
Apple TV is quite literally the black sheep of Steve Job’s iFamily, casting off the celestial white casings of its siblings in favour of something all together darker. reduced in size to be as discrete as possible Apple TV is quite a decent little media centre for its price and fruity logo, but we would like it better if it supported BBC iplayer.

laptop or tablet? laptop or tablet? Just like ‘Daddy or chips’ it is not an easy call to make, which is precisely where the new Dell insperion Duo comes into play. The identity crisis ridden Duo is effectively both - a laptop which is also a tablet. But just like a Daddy made of chips, however impressive it was to start off with, you will eventually end up wishing you had just opted for one or the other.
